That day we practice one by one on our instrument and perform in front of the class. We were expected to play smoothly and nicely because we already practice alot. In Piano class, were told to play again and my friends were suppose to grade it.

Today we were tested to play our finale compostion in front of the class for trial before the assessment. We are told to play smoothly and continously to avoid lower score. we were also told to comment them too.

Today Mr. Sadrakh told us to review our work and reflection and cover up our job. Then he show us a movie about John Williams in his movie making career. Then after that some of us have to play our own composition in front of the classroom for practice. In Piano class, Mr. Herry told us to play our compostion and give him the hard copy of the Finale.

That day Mr. Sadrakh talks about how we live with music. He talks about,"What is music?" He said music was good sound that can encourage people to have the felling of something or to express feeling to other people. He also reviewed us about John Williams. In piano class, we were told to practice our compostion fully.

Today Mr Sadrakh is absent so our substitute is Mr. Herry. Mr Herry checked our attendance first one by one and gave us our assessment test material on May. We were told to read about the biography of a famous music composer for the movies named John Towner Williams. This person have been awarded by so much movie producers for his music making. After reading the papers, Mr. Herry told us to answer his questions. In Piano class, I was told by Mr. Herry to play my self composed song with the left hand.

Today we just make sure our finale is ready. None of us finished the softcopy and the hardcopy because of the lack of time. So mr. Sadrakh give us extra time to submit it on Monday next week. Some of us are still in the draft while some already started the finale. In piano class, we were told by mr. Herry to put some chord in the music finale for left hand.

Music reflection 11/04/2011

That day we just finish our 32 bar melody and Mr. Sadrakh just check it one by one. We come to the front and let Mr. Sadrakh check our melody and then he correct the ones that have errors. Some of us have lots of errors and some don't. I have only one error in the 2nd bar because the last note is not long. In piano class, we were told to put chords for our left hand so the melody will be better.

Today we just hear Mr Sadrakh talk about the assessment next week on Thursday 10/3/2011. Then we have to play our song that we have been practicing for over a month one by one. Piano students played first. Then guitar to violin to flute. I played first, it was quite stressing to play in front of a class. I made 1 to 2 mistakes only but i already memorize the whole song. Then in piano class i was told to play my song again by Mr Herry.

At this day, we read the scales and review our test on the board. The test exam was quite hard, but i could pull it off. Its about classical music periods an was told to write about 400-500 words about it. At instrument class, Mr Herry told me to play my song again and again for the music assessment on March and told me to practice more.

My music class reflection 7/02/11

In that day, I went into the music class with my friends and sit on the Piano row. Then Mr. Sadrakh check our attendance and told me to read the classical music periods. we were told to read it one by one although it have around 3 pages of information of music. The paper is complete filled with facts about music from Baroque to Romantic following with the eras. At piano class, i was told to choose a song so i can play for march later on.

In that day, Mr. Sadrakh in the music room came up to the front of the music room, check our attendance then we read the scales on the board. Then we were assessed singing the song called My Favorite things one by one in front of the music room. I am the first one to sing first because I am the last in the attendance list. My legs are shivering, and I cant concentrate because I am really nervous standing in front of the classroom. But then it was ok because my score is 9/10. i dont know how I got it though.

Music class reflection 2011

At January 17 2011, we have our first music class on Monday at the 7th to 8th period. We first went into the music room, take off our shoes, get our resources and sit on any table. Then Mr. Sadrakh went into the front of the music room and introduced us and the new students. Then he check our attendance and write down the four instuments available for us. He said we can choose one out of the four listed intruments on the board. I chose piano because that is the only instrument I play and have. But before we were assigned to join that class, we have to take audition first to test if we can play it or not. After vocal class, me and my other friends who joined piano class too were told to stay on the music room. Then Mr. Herry introduce himself and we moved on to the lesson. He first explain about the three types of song which are Baroque, classical and romantic on the piano. Then we were told to play majors and minors on the piano one by one. Then he told us to write a reflection about what we did that day.
